In January 2022 Moldova exported 86% more apples than in January 2021
According to the customs service of Moldova, about 26 000 tonnes of apples were exported from the country in January of this year. 19 500 tonnes were exported in December 2021, in January 2021 – 14 000 tonnes. The volume of January exports in 2022 came close to the lower limit of the volume of Moldovan apple exports in the “pre-pandemic period” 2018-2020: 27 000-35 000 tonnes.

SIMIRENCO
A variety of bright-green colored apples, originating in England. Is characterized by a medium size and globular shape, sometimes flattened.
IDARED
A variety of apples with a rich history and worldwide recognition. The apples are red, of medium to large size, with white pulp and a specific taste.

CHERRY
generally heart-shaped to nearly globular, about 2 cm (1 inch) in diameter, and varies in colour from yellow through red to nearly black. The acid content of the sweet cherry is low. The higher acid content of the sour cherry produces its characteristic tart flavour.
PLUMS
Plum is the most common type of Moldovan stone fruits, the second most common after apple, occupying about a quarter of the orchards in the country.
